Lemon- For Skin Care


Lemon juice has many flavorful and healthy uses when added to foods and drinks. It also has a variety of uses for natural skin and beauty treatments as well. Here are some of the ways you can use lemon as a natural part of your beauty regimen.



Homemade recipes for skin care from lemon


- Slice one lemon and pour it with a glass of vodka. Infuse for 10 days. Wet layer of cotton wool or gauze in infusion and apply on the face. After 15-20 minutes remove the mask, but do not wash the face. This mask is especially good for oily skin. It is tighten pores and smoothies wrinkles.

- Mix 1 egg yolk with 1 teaspoon of milk and some drops of lemon juice. Apply it on face for 20 minutes, then rinse.

- Dub the face with rich cream and apply thin lemon slices. Don't use this mask on the face not more 10 minutes. Remove the lemon and rinse face with cold water.

- Mix 25 g of yeast with 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Add 1 tablespoon of milk, mix everything carefully and apply the mixture on the face with a cotton swab. After 20 minutes, remove the mask with warm water and make a cold compress.

- Mix juice of one lemon with 2 teaspoons of honey. Apply on the face for a minute, and then wash with cold water.

- Mix frothed white of one egg and teaspoon of lemon juice. The mask is applied on the face for 15-20 minutes. Then wash it off first with warm and then cold water. This mask is for oily, porous skin with wrinkles and pigmental spots, as well as for withered, flabby skin.

- Grate one lemon with peel on a plastic grater, add 100 g of alcohol and strain through cheese-cloth. Then add 1 cup of sour cream or cream, 1 beaten white of egg and 1 teaspoon of glycerin. Apply on the face and after 15-20 minutes remove it with a cotton swab.

- Add 5-10 drops of lemon juice in a tablespoon of honey. The resulting mush is applied on the face for 10-15 minutes. Then wash with cool water. If you need to increase the viscosity of the mask, add oatmeal.

- Pound 1 egg yolk with unrefined vegetable oil (preferably corn oil), then add 1/2 teaspoon water and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Apply on the face with layers (3 layers), hold the mask until drying, and then remove with swab wet in warm water. After this mask rinse your face with warm water and then with cool water. Apply nourishing cream. You’d better to make 6-10 masks for one course.

- To prevent wrinkles take equal amount of lemon juice, carrot juice, yogurt, rice flour and mix everything well. Keep on the face for 20-25 minutes. It is better to make this mask 2-3 times a week.

- Mix 1 teaspoon of rich cream with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, adding it drop by drop, and half a teaspoon of sour cream or mayonnaise. Apply the mixture on the face skin for 20-25 minutes and then remove with a cosmetic spatula. Finally wipe face with a cotton swab moistened with lotion.

Don’t Do:
Lemon juice is an acid. Depending on your skin type, it may react with the sun to cause blisters. If it does, dilute the lemon juice with an equal amount of water, and always wash it off afterwards.
  • Watch out for your eyes!
  • Do not go in the sun while there is lemon juice on your skin.
  • Watch out for cuts. The acid in the lemon juice will sting.
