How to Apply Eye - Makeup

Eye Makeup enhances the beauty of your eyes so most of the girls or women’s concentrate more on their eyes. When they are becoming ready for their office, they prefer to put mascara, liner and kajal and when they are going to attend some function or party they prefer to go for deep eye makeup which includes the eyes shadows and put more enhance on the eye lids.

To start with your eye makeup, first step is to check which eye shadows complement your eye color. Here are the some tips.

1. For the Brown and Hazel eyes: Brown and hazel eyes look gorgeous in golds.

2. For the Blue eyes: Blues eyes looks pretty in rosy pinks with golden undertones.

3. For the Blue eyes: Green eyes look good in plum or violet shades.

4. For a clean day look use a medium-tone or other neutral color on the lid and blend it gently up into the crease. For women over 30, he says blending up right above the middle of the eye.

5. If you're going out for the night, you might want to take the darkest shadow and apply it on the lid, blending it a bit into the crease, and then use a neutral tone for the brow bone, blending it down into the crease.

6. If the hood of your eye goes all the way down to the eyelashes, apply a thin line of liner on the top lash line and a thicker line on the bottom lid. This helps to compensate for not being able to see the top of the eye line.

7. If you can see the top line of your eye, put very little liner on the bottom lash line and focus on the outer corner of the eye. Then, line the inner eye with white pencil.

8. A touch of rosy gold in the center of the lid or at the brow bone can open up the eyes tremendously. The same goes for shimmery bronze. Plum is dramatic enough to work with in lieu of brown or black eye shadow and it looks gorgeous on green eyes. Play around with a plum smoky eye by applying a light mauve color to the lid, and a deep plum in the crease.

Steps to do Eye Makeup:

1. Wash your skin: This is the first step and a good step. Wash your skin before doing any type of makeup. Putting some cold compresses on the eyes for 10 minutes to reduce puffiness. Cold tea bags are great because they contain caffeine or anything cold from the refrigerator. You can take ice slice or cucumber slice also to reduce puffiness of your eyes.

2. Light moisturizer: Start with light moisturizer. Apply it around the eye. If the moisturizer seems too heavy for the delicate skin around the eye, blot it gently with a tissue. Never use a hand or body lotion.

3. Foundation: Before starting doing eye makeup, don’t forget to apply an eye shadow base for stay-put power. It's wise to apply your foundation and under eye concealer after your smoky eyes, since the color so easily falls down around the eyes. Concealer can be used to cover up under-eye circles. To cover dark under eye circles, apply three dots of concealer under each eye. Start at the inner corner where skin tends to be darkest, then under the pupil and the third on the outer edge. Pat, never rub with your ring finger until it disappears.

4. Eye base: Apply eye base to your lid Eye base is the secret to keeping your shadow in place for hours.

5. Eyeliner: Dark eye shadows work great as eyeliner. Wet a slanted brush, then dip in a dark eye shadow. Line eyes as close to the upper lashes as possible from the inner corner to the outer corner. Follow with liner on bottom eyes, but only line from the middle of the eye out. Smudge the bottom line with a Q-tip or your finger. You don't want a prominent line. For a Smokey eye, use a brush to pat in a dark eye shadow along the upper lid and below the lid.

6. Eye shadow: You can apply darkest eye shadow all over the eye lid, or in the crease, depending upon the look you want. Once you have applied dark color in the crease then start blending it up and outward toward the brow bone elongates round eyes For a standard smoky eye, you can try pewter eye shadow all over the lid, charcoal in the crease and keep the brow bone light. It's great to use a three-toned shadow and build from lids to brow. Allowing them to blend into each other like a rainbow is gorgeous.

7. Brighten your eyes with a highlighter: This step involves only the inside part of the eye. Putting a bit of your lightest eye shadow in the inner corner of your eye will brighten it significantly.

8. Highlight your brow: Take the same light eye shadow and dab it on your brow bone, concentrating on your mid-brow outward. Blend with your finger.

9. Curl lashes: An eyelash curler will make even long lashes look more gorgeous. For added effect, you can heat the curler under a blow-dryer for a couple of seconds. Test curler before applying to lashes because you could burn yourself.

10. Apply mascara: Place the wand of your mascara brush at the bottom of lashes and wiggle back and forth. Follow with another few sweeps of the wand. Apply to bottom lashes as well. The best way to put on smudge-proof mascara is to tilt the chin up slightly and the head back slightly and lift your eyebrows up, like you're asking a question. That makes it easy to run the mascara brush along the length of the upper lashes from the base to the tip without smearing.

11. Apply shaped eyebrows: You can also put shaped eyebrows which is easily available in market in the beauty stores. It will enhance the beauty of your eyes. The latest look in eyebrows is the gentle arch. It also provides an automatic lift to the face.
