Natural ways to cure dandruff


The process that causes dandruff is a natural one which goes on all over our bodies. The skin cells covering our bodies are constantly being replaced by new skin cells. In fact, we get a whole new skin cells about once a month. Dandruff is also caused by the removal of dead skin from the scalp. While the dead cells that peel off from most of the body parts go unnoticed, the peels coming from our scalp and hair are trapped by oil from the hair resulting in those unsightly clumps known as dandruff.


Natural ways to cure dandruff

1) Massage your hair gently with curd and rinse after half an hour

2) Massage hair with coconut oil mixed with the juice of one lemon. Follow it with a hot towel treatment. The massage really boosts bloods circulation

3) Apply a mix of lime juice and amla juice to the scalp. Keep it overnight and wash next day

4) Soak a spoon of fenugreek seeds in water overnight and then grind it into a fine paste in the morning. Apply it all over the scalp and rinse it off after half an hour

5) Add a teaspoon of lime juice into the mug full of water and rinse you hair with this solution immediately after washing your hair

6) Mix a tablespoon of limejuice and crushed garlic. Apply it all over the scalp and rinse after 10-15 minutes

7) Apply onion juice all over the scalp and wash it off after half an hour with shampoo

8) Soak a few neem leaves in hot water, filter, cool and rinse your hair with this water

9) Wash your hair normally, then pour vinegar carefully onto hair and scrub into your scalp, taking care not to let any get into your eyes.Leave on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with water.Repeat daily for about a week

10) Do not use antidandruff shampoos daily after the dandruff clears, as these are too harsh. Use no more than once or twice a week

14) For more severe dandruff, you should use shampoos containing anti-yeast medications like selenium sulfide, ketoconazole, climbazole etc. These should be used on alternate days in the first week, twice a week for next 2-4 weeks, thereafter once weekly.

15) Brush the scalp hair with a soft natural bristle brush. Firmly brush the hair from scalp outwards. This will distribute the oil along the hair shaft keeping it shiny and healthy; rather than remaining on the scalp where it is a good medium for the yeast to multiply.
