Modern Carpet Cleaning Methods

We all know how annoying it can be to have spots or spills on a nice carpet and how much of a pain it is to clean them up using conventional methods or household chemicals. For that very same reason cleaning companies specializing in carpet cleaning offer many alternatives which have been improving over the decades since the Industrial Revolution.

There are several different technologies and methods used and this article will cover them so you can have a clear idea about how they work and what to expect as results when they are utilized:

1.Rotary Cleaning or Bonet Cleaning : This is a method you have probably seen wherever janitorial companies have been involved. It is a low-tech method which requires little to no skill at all, which produces quick results. It involves the application of cleaning chemicals through the use of a rotary cleaning machine which uses a brush to apply and clean the surface and individual strands of the carpet.

It is a useful procedure which unfortunately doesn't allow deep cleaning of soils and other chemicals which make it to the bottom of the carpet. This method is abrasive in nature and some companies may void any warranties they may have on their carpets if it is used instead of other ways of cleaning. This may lead to the need for restoration if the job isn't done properly.

2. Dry Foam Cleaning: This type of cleaning is rarely used because of the nature of the chemicals used. They have a highly surfactant function which lowers the surface tension of the carpet, allowing an easier time cleaning debris and overall good results.

There are some side-effect to the method as it is possible to have heavy residue left from the detergent which may cause further re-soiling relatively quickly after the cleaning is done. Once again used for quick results and much like the rotary cleaning method this may cause the need for carpet restoration.

3.Dry Powder Cleaning: This a method using a low-moisture powder which saturates the carpet. The powder absorbs soil and dust from the carpet and afterward gets vacuumed away when it dries off.

A common side effect of this treatment might be the residue left unless the vacuuming is done properly, which may require hot water extraction to avoid “dusting”. Some of the materials used might be synthetic so they won't break down in time. Overall it is a good method which yields fast results which allows carpets to return to their owners on short notice.

4. Low Moisture Cleaning: This is a method utilizing polymer-based chemical products that helps the brushing and grooming of the carpet being cleaned. The good thing about this type of method is the quickness of it and the fact that there is no need for drying. This is one of the best methods available because it is less time-consuming and its benefits for the surface of the carpet are much more long-term than other types.

5. Hot Water Extraction: This is a wonderful deep cleaning method which uses a solution of hot water and detergent, essentially “washing” the whole carpet all the way to the core, which helps clean not only any debris and soil which has accumulated, but also the results of other types of cleaning done before that. The only drawback is the fact that the carpet needs to dry off and this takes time. This is the most commonly-used method and although its roots in history are old the chemicals used during the process have evolved significantly through the ages.

5 Rules to Improve Your Sleep Comfort

Sleep comfort is one of the most essential elements that determine the overall quality of an individual?s sleep. When people sleep in discomfort, they are often physical and emotionally tired and as a result, unable to face the pressures of the day.

The bedroom is a personal refuge for many people where they can escape to relax from the strains of life. As a result, sleep comfort should be the utmost priority of every single person.

Below are 5 rules that should be followed in order to improve your sleep comfort.

 Rule #1: Reduce Lighting
Many people are under the assumption that they can sleep peacefully even if the lights are on in their bedroom. This is actually not true. Research shows that the amount of lighting in a room can interfere with a person?s sleep patterns.
Why? Essentially, the human brain has what is commonly known as an internal clock. This clock is set in accordance to the rhythms (natural of course) of day and night (light and dark).

When it is dark, the human body releases a hormone known as Melatonin which is basically the chemical that triggers the human body to sleep. When there is light outside, the body suppresses the release of melatonin therefore getting you ready for the day.
With that being said, in order to keep the body?s internal clock functioning properly, sleep in a dark room, if possible.

Rule #2: Reduce Noise
Unfortunately, many of us are not able to sleep because there is often some noise that keeps us awake. Sound disrupts our sleep because it keeps our brains alert and hyper-active. This increased activity causes the brain to keep all of its higher functions running when it should be relaxing.

If you are able to cut out all the noise that is keeping you awake (by turning off the TV, radio and etc), then by all means do it. However, if you live in a noisy area, then in order to allow the brain and body to rest properly, ear plugs should be used. Ear plugs are usually very comfortable and do not cause any irritation when you toss and turn in bed.

Rule #3: Adjust Temperature
Research shows that the temperature of the human body affects the individual?s ability to sleep; however, scientists also state that there is no set temperature that all people must sleep in.
Every person is different and likes sleeping in different temperatures. Some people like to sleep in a cold environment while others like their rooms nice and warm while they sleep.
Adjust the bedroom temperature to what you feel is comfortable for you while you sleep. This way, you will be able to sleep comfortably throughout the night.

Rule #4: Choose Comfortable Bedding

New research shows that the quality and type of bedding an individual sleeps on can also affect their sleep comfort. Simply choose the type and quality of bedding material that you are comfortable with.

Rule #5: Sleep at one time
Unfortunately, due to the different activities that all of us undertake throughout the day, we are not able to sleep on time every day. Most of us lack consistency when it comes to our sleeping pattern. Sometimes we retire to bed very early while at other times, we go to sleep very late.

At this point, it is important to understand that the body works according to a strict pattern. If you disrupt that pattern, then you will end up waking up in the middle of the night and have trouble falling asleep. To avoid all these problems, sleep at a specific time every day.
Sleep comfort is of the utmost importance and should be cared for by everyone. By following a few simple rules, you can ensure that your sleep comfort is maximized therefore allowing you to face the day ahead with ease.

Office Move Management Tips

To move an entire office is definitely more complicated than moving your home. There has to be a systematic approach and an order to follow. Therefore, to effectively manage an office move there is a concise checklist of things to be done.

* Schedule the Move: You must make sure that the move is in agreement with details about existing lease, notice period, obligations and liabilities. You cannot get into the new building until the agreed date. Additionally, you cannot remain in the current building later than the contacts end date. Both must synchronize!

* Sort Your Requirements: You must be clear about the basic strategic and operational processes that cannot have long downtimes. The move must have the least impact on the business. For this reason, there will be some business processes that cannot be left latent. Therefore, you must also pay attention to technical specifics and maximization of space at the new locations. Additionally, plan on taking only important items and get rid of unnecessary bulk while moving. Use this as an opportunity to clear out unwanted waste.

* Form a Team: Collaborative team work is important, because you cannot accomplish the move all alone. Get people with an understanding of critical aspects of the relocation. They can be internal staff members or external people with experience. Besides, they must be reliable, trustworthy, good organizers, capable of taking instant decisions and organized.

Split your team into two. While some help you with packing and moving out of the current building, there must be someone to receive the crates at the new location. As off-loading begins, that team can start arranging things as planned. Give them a detailed plan on how to set things.

* Budget the Move: Conduct a detailed survey of the movers market. Make sure you select an option that is cost effective and convenient. They must handle packing, loading and unloading. They must be experienced, handle your things with care and avoid breakage. At the same time, they must not waste precious time with storage that may cause longer downtime for your business.

* Communication is Important: While moving, make sure you are in contact with your team and the movers. Your team at the new location must be able to contact you if they need specific instructions. Communication is the key to successful coordinated relocation.

* Start Immediately: Once everything is in place, there is no need to delay things. The project leader must take the first step. It is important to make sure that everything works according to plan.

Remember, after you have successfully emptied the current building; make sure your lawyer is with you. Do not hand over the keys or sign lease papers without your lawyer.

Safe Driving Tips for You

Being a prepared driver is important for anyone who drives anywhere at any time. The unexpected can happen at any time, without any warning. Instituting the proper actions ahead of time can help you to reduce the stress of being caught in an adverse situation when traveling to any destination.

Roadside Emergency Kit
It cannot be stressed enough how important it is to have a roadside emergency kit in your car at all times. A basic kit will have, at a minimum, an inflated and operable spare tire, road flares, jumper cables, and a first aid kit. Other items that you should consider are emergency cones, window shades, basic auto tools, coolant, a quart or two of oil, a flashlight with spare batteries, and a pocketknife.
Personal Emergency Kit
Preparing a kit for yourself and your passengers can make a difference if you are stranded or stuck in severe traffic unexpectedly. A personal emergency kit should include a couple bottles of water, non perishable food, blankets, hand sanitizer, and extra medications if you take them on a regular basis. Other items to consider, if you have room, are things to keep you occupied while you wait, paper towels, duct tape, an umbrella, and an extra pair of walking shoes. Having a few of your needs available can help you to be more comfortable until such time as you are able to get back on track in your travels.

Weather Conditions Your preparedness will also need to be tailored to where you live or where you are traveling to. If you are traveling in an area where it is cold and potentially icy, plan accordingly by packing in an ice scraper, kitty litter (in case you slide off the road in the snow), a small snow shovel, and extra blankets. If you are traveling somewhere that can be very warm, make sure that you pack in extra coolant. Research where it is that you are traveling and what is suggested to pack along.

Car Insurance Having the appropriate auto insurance coverage is important for any driver. The insurance that you have should cover you and your passengers for any potential insurance need. An important aspect to consider is if your insurance company provides 24 hour roadside assistance. This is something that is not used on a regular basis, however when you need it, you need it right away. Having the coverage through your insurance company makes using this service very easy and relieves the stress in an adverse situation.

Educate Yourself Learning what to do in an adverse situation is important to driving. The last thing you want to have happen is to be stuck somewhere and not know what to do. One of the most important things that you can do is to learn how to change your tire. It may sound simple, however until you do it once, it may be something that you cannot accomplish. Practice at least once in your driveway so that you know how to access the spare and the jack, how to jack up the car, remove the flat, replace the flat with the spare, and lower the car back down.

Being prepared does not mean having everything under the sun in your trunk. Keep in mind where you are traveling and make sure that you have your basic needs covered. Remember that an emergency situation is not ever planned, so always being prepared will help you through the situation should it occur.

Top Designer Jewelry Brands for 2012

Jewelry is the finishing touch to any ensemble; the perfect earrings complete an evening look just as the ring on one's left finger tells the world that they are taken and happy about it. Jewelry is also every woman’s best friend, because it is diverse, attractive, and always in vogue - which is why jewelers around the country are outdoing themselves in an attempt to create the top jewelry line for 2012!

No woman is unhappy when she finds a little blue box waiting for her. Tiffany and Co. has long been - and remains to this day - one of the top luxury jewelry brands in the world. From classic diamonds and high-end pieces to trendy silver jewelry that every woman wants, Tiffany and Co. has little competition when it comes to being the #1 jeweler for 2012.

Inspired by Donald Clafin, a designer from Tiffany and Co. from 1966 to 1977, the new 2012 line has jewelry lovers flocking to stores for a vibrant, youthful new look. This line is fun and fanciful and made of big, bold lines with creative designs. This look embodies a "funky" vibe, with big, square lines and rings that spell the word “love” on all four sides. The line is completely silver and includes items such as rings, bracelets, charms and pendants. Each piece is square, which will be one of the major design trends for jewelry in 2012.

When you think of high-end designer jewelry, Chanel is probably one of the first designers that come to mind. Classic, elegant, and completely decadent, the 2012 Chanel jewelry line embodies the characteristic mixture of trendy pieces and classic notes that have made Chanel one of the most prominent jewelers in the world. For their 2012 collection, expect Chanel to emphasize retro pearls as well as their ubiquitous "C" logos. Pearls are the most classic form of elegant jewels, and are something every woman should have in her jewelry box.

When paired with the classic "C" logo charms, pearls create a long, flowing necklace that is elegant and trendy at the same time. This look is classic and elegant enough to wear with a pantsuit at the office, yet also stylish enough to wear with your favorite little black dress for a night out with friends.

Celebrity jewelry designers are a dime a dozen these days, but no celebrities create more trends at this point in time than the Kardashian sisters. Sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian first introduced their Kardashian Kollection to Sears in 2011, and their 2012 jewelry line is sure to be among the trendiest and most coveted of the year. Coming from media darlings and modern day fashion icons, the Kardashian Kollection jewelry line embodies style, trends and even affordability, which makes it the perfect choice for most women.

For 2012, the Kardashian Kollection went bold with metallic jewelry; everything in the line features a metallic look with embellishments such as jewel tones and flowers. One of the hottest pieces from the 2012 Kardashian Kollection jewelry collection is the cocktail ring; every lady wants at least 1 giant cocktail ring to wear, and this is the place to get one - or more, because with prices this affordable, you're sure to find countless pieces you desire.

It isn’t surprising that Nicole Richie created a hot jewelry line with her House of Harlow 1960 collection, or that her 2012 line is breaking new ground. A fashion icon with a look that embodies both rocker chic and casual elegance, Nicole Richie is a celebrity that many look up to for fashion ideas. The House of Harlow 1960 line for 2012 includes trendy pieces that are going to take the celebrity-designed jewelry world by storm. The line is trendy and eye catching because of its artsy nature, which is perfect for a look that is bohemian chic; it embodies an artistically Native American feel. Earrings are colored with earth tones and deep gold, which make them resemble a sunset. The line also features necklaces that are long, flowing, and easy to manipulate by twisting them and creating what appears to be two necklaces instead of one. Additionally, bangle bracelets and cuffs will be one of the hottest trends in 2012, and the House of Harlow 1960 collection features many such nature-inspired bracelets to add to your wardrobe.

For 2012, your jewelry look can be just about anything you want, depending on your personal sense of style. From the classically-designed lines from Tiffany and Co. and Chanel to the more playful trends offered in the Kardashian Kollection or the nature-inspired looks in the House of Harlow 1960 line, classic designers and celebrity designers alike have different ideas about what is hot for 2012 and they are all correct. This New Year, the trendy look in jewelry embodies funk, timeless class, and playful innocence!

Interior Design Tips for your Home

10 Interior Design Tips for Keeping  Your Home Clean

To ensure that your home is presented to guests as the idyllic, inviting home it was created to be, there are two important elements that must be maintained: style and cleanliness. One of these factors, however, doesn’t have to be sacrificed in order to achieve the other; in fact, the right decorating and design choices will make it enormously easier to keep your home clean and stylish. The following list contains interior design recommendations that will infuse and emphasize fantastic aesthetics while simultaneously helping to keep your home impeccably clean:

1. Stick to Modern Furniture
Modern furniture is typically designed with defined angles and is sleek in its appearance, making it very space-conscious and easy to clean. Modern furnishings are the polar opposite of their classic counterparts that were rounded, curved, and bulkier (which created crevices that notoriously collected dirt and dust).

2. Hardwood Floors
Hardwood floors are striking; they compliment virtually any kind of décor. It’s also much easier to keep clean than traditional carpeting, which traps dust and worsens allergies. A light sweep and mop every few days is the most that is required to maintain most hardwood floors. With carpeting, a quality (and possibly high cost) vacuum cleaner is a must, and professional cleaning is still recommended at least 1-2 times a year. Hardwood floors save on time and money, while also elevating the look of a home.

3. Stain-Resistant Carpet
If you do insist on installing carpets rather than laminate or hardwood flooring, be sure to opt for stain-resistant carpeting. There are a number of quality brands that produce stain resistant carpeting in a variety of colors and styles, so it shouldn't be hard to find some that will fit in with your design plan. Best of all, accidental spills or muddy shoes won’t be a problem with this option.

4. Limit Decorative Clutter
A replica ficus, an imported statue, a designer lamp and other accessories can add depth and added attractiveness to a space. However, too many artistic accessories creates a series of dust magnets and dirt collectors, not to mention it overwhelms the feel of a space. Employ the “less is more” concept to create style while eliminating unnecessary clutter and dirt.

5. Use Decorative Shelving
The right number of shelves placed in the appropriate places will free up space on flat services in any part of the house. Decorative shelves also serve as an enhancer to the design of a space; they can be a platform on which to showcase important pieces like collector’s items and family heirlooms.

6. Non-Porous Countertops
Countertops and flat surfaces throughout the home can be a challenge to keep clean. All porous surfaces retain stains; a simple spill can result in a permanent, unflattering blemish to the surface. Non-porous surfaces such as granite eliminate this potential occurrence, while adding great style and detail to a room. With the many designs, colors and finishes available, this easy-to-clean surface type will aptly fit your maintenance needs and style preferences.

7. Stain-Resistant Furniture
The presence of stain-resistant materials like leather adds an upscale look to a space, and gleams finely in the light when it’s at its cleanest. Because it is resistant to stains, strenuous cleaning is not required, and no expensive machines or cleaning services are needed. Furniture that looks great and which is easy to clean is a definite win-win for the homeowner.

8. Strategically Position Decor
Create a strategy to position each item of furniture in a way that maximizes the available space and creates a stylish, cohesive look. Maximizing the space in the room allows for freer movement and gives the impression of a larger abode. Furthermore, the less unused space there is, the more successful you’ll be in avoiding excess dust and clutter.

9. Furniture with Built-in Storage
Loft beds, ottomans, and armoires are just a few of the furniture choices that add style to a room, along with instant storage space. They become an integral part of the overall look of the room while providing space to store items that would otherwise adversely affect the décor. Choosing wood or a stain-resistant material for this category will maximize the effect of both style and cleanliness.

10. Stain-Resistant Paint
Walls, beams and other supporting structures are just as important to the décor of a home as the furniture and accessories in the space. Using quality brand paint with stain-resistant properties will provide fresh, vibrant color that will only require minimal cleaning over the years.

Using one or a combination of the above mentioned tips can make the task of maintaining a stylish, clean home less of a challenge. Achieving this goal is the ultimate reward, and will bring out the interior designer in anyone who dares to try. Best of luck, and happy decorating!

Easy Men's Hairstyle

Though not talked about much till recently, men’s hair is now attracting the lime light. Especially in the recent times, men have gained enough ‘looks’ consciousness, that they take care of their skin, hair and fitness just like any woman. This section of the article speaks about the various popular hair styles along with tips, advices and techniques related to men’s hair.

1) A military hair cut which is popular among men is the simplest to achieve and the easiest to maintain. You can just get your hair done in this style using a hair trimmer on the sides of the scalp. The hair on the top portion is cut to the desired length (usually short), and gradually merges with the length of the hair on the sides.
The proportions of length of hair on sides and top can be varied giving to give it a unique look according to your looks and preference. If you have a very lean neck, this style may not be your cup of tea! This style looks extremely elegant on few men and it actually helps men save their time in maintaining their hair style. It is typically suitable for men in equatorial, coastal and other hot and humid regions.

 2) Punk is another sought after choice by men for styling their hair. It usually involves shorter hair at the sides and back of the scalp and longer at the top. The length choice is of course yours. The longer hair at the top is gelled, groomed and shaped to give attractive and trendy appearances.
Coloring the hair in contrasts or just single colored appearances can enhance and highlight the punk. You can also sport a trendy beard to balance an entirely fashionable hair style. This kind of styling mostly is opted by younger men. Note that the attire you carry should be able to handle the load of this fashion type.

3) Formal style: Is often preferred and most suitable for all men of all age groups. It goes with all formal attires and semi casual outfits. This style though, does not involve any complicated make over or maintenance regimes, it can be just trimmed, groomed and decorated to give a unique and adorable look to your overall appearance. Gelling, applying faint shades of colors and posing a shoe cut side locks can help improve the looks.

4) Messy hairstyle for men: Look at yourself in the mirror as soon as you get up from bed! This hairstyle is exactly what you are trying to replicate! But note that for this look and feel, hair length should be at least medium, so as to cover up your eyebrows, eyes and ears. But remember to keep the hair clean and fresh always.

Men’s hair loss has become a serious issue especially in urban pockets. A major advantage of this hairstyle is that men who have baldness in certain areas of the scalp can cover it up. Wet feel of the hair and sporting stubble along with this hairstyle gives an attractive image. This hairstyle can also carry most varieties of corrective eye glasses and sunglasses.

Ways to Decorate Your Dining Room

7 Ways to Redecorate Your Dining Room

If your dining room is looking dated, consider these easy tips to give it a fresh look. These budget-friendly changes will have your dining room looking brand new in no time!

1. A dining room is the place to enjoy a relaxing meal free of distraction. Clearing out clutter in the room can help you feel more relaxed in this space. A table, chairs, and a buffet are the only pieces that you need in the room. Keep horizontal surfaces mostly clear, with the exception of a few decorative items.

2. Color sets the tone for the whole room. If you’re looking for a change, a new coat of paint could be just the thing your dining room needs. To make a large, open dining room feel cozier, use a deep shade of a warm color. For example, gold, red and subtle shades of orange are warm and welcoming. On the flip side, if you are working with a smaller space, light colors will make the room seem larger than it is. Try a chic shade of light gray, cool blue or crisp white.

3. This is a great tip for those working within a small budget. Instead of buying a new dining room set, refresh the dining room by reupholstering your chairs. Find a chic new fabric to match your style to replace your dated upholstery. You can cut down on costs by reupholstering the chairs yourself. Simply pop out the cushions, remove the old fabric. Recover the padding with cotton batting and your new fabric. Secure your fabric using a heavy duty staple gun.

4. Lighting is an important element in any room, and the dining room is no exception. If your lighting needs an update, consider the following. For a quick, inexpensive facelift, spray paint your chandelier to change the finish. You can also remove or change the shades for a different look. Candles in the dining room are traditional and set an intimate tone for any dinner. Instead of conventional candlesticks, opt for something more modern. Arrange pillar candles on a long tray with glass stones for a different look.

5. Another way to open up a small dining room or enhance a dull dining room is to add mirrors! Dining rooms are great places to incorporate mirrors, especially if you use the room for entertaining. Mirrors pick up and the sparkle of crystal and emphasize the glow of candlelight creating an extra special dining experience for your guests.

  6. Create depth in your dining room by adding different textures. A good place to start is with your window treatments. Pick a lux, weighty fabric for instant drama, or opt for beautiful sheer fabric that lets the sun shine in. Consider selecting a coordinating fabric to use as a table runner for more texture to the table. A runner is great, especially if you have a beautiful table that you don’t want to cover up with a table cloth. Another way to add different texture and freshen up the room is with a vase of fresh cut flowers. They’re beautiful and inexpensive!

7. Lastly, add a personal touch to your dining room. Frame a favorite piece of art or a family portrait and hang it on the wall. You don’t need to save your best dining accessories for the holidays. Display your heirloom candlesticks or serving trays proudly, year round!

Simple ways to Be Happy

The Happiness Formula – How the Superwomen of Today can ‘Think Themselves Happy’

Happiness seems to have almost magical properties.

Scientists claim it can make us more resilient and creative, harder working, healthier and even live longer. But happiness is a fuzzy concept, and attempting to harness it and ‘get hold of it’ can be tough.

We’ve all got a lot on our plate nowadays, from jobs, keeping fit childcare, family worries, juggling a social life and being agony aunt to numerous friends and colleagues. In a fast paced world where you’re assumed and expected to be superwoman – there’s no wonder that many of us have moments of despair and worry.

A new form of psychology - positive psychology - suggests we can think ourselves happy and actually re-wire our brains to be more optimistic.

We are told we all have a set range of happiness, and positive psychologists say we could make ourselves 10-15% happier simply by knowing what our strengths are.

How, then, can we make ourselves happy?

• Seek out positive people to associate with.
• Rid your mind of negative thinking with yoga and exercise.
• Speak in a positive tone.
• Expose yourself to all the wonderful books, music and movies available.
• Discover the one important thing in your life that’s important, and pursue it.

Happiness is not a genetic trait we are born with, but a choice. It is up to us, then, to be willing, hold onto positive thoughts, create happiness, maintain it, share it, and build our lives around it.

In short, we are all just about as happy as we choose to be.

Day one: Instant mood booster -Build some mental muscle.

Just as weight-training can help you be a better runner, exercising your brain can make it easier to think positive. For most of us, meditation is like flossing - something that never makes it off the to-do list. But just a few minutes a day could help get your brain in happy shape, so try this simple technique.
• Pick a word with peaceful connotations, such as 'calm', 'relax' or 'love'.
• Sit somewhere quiet, close your eyes and breathe slowly.
• Each time you exhale; silently repeat your chosen word.
• When other thoughts arise, gently dismiss them and keep repeating your word.
• Build up to doing this for ten minutes at a time.

Day 2: Instant mood booster - Have a daily 'happy hour'.

'People don't devote enough time to thinking about their life and how much of it they actually enjoy,' says psychologist Dr David Schkade. Schkade onceasked 900 women to write down what they'd done the day before and then analysed how they felt during each activity. The women were amazed at how much time they spent doing things that made them unhappy.

Write down how you spend your time for a week.

Then think how you could swap an hour a day from an activity you feel indifferent about (surfing TV channels, tidying the house) to one you enjoy (going for a walk, spending time with your partner).

Day 3: Instant mood booster – Take up something you’re passionate about.

According to research, It's when you're so fully focused on a pleasurable activity, you tune out of everything else.
Think back to what you were passionate about at the age of nine and consider taking it up as a hobby. It's said that we are most true to ourselves and least influenced by others when we're about this age.
So apply the ‘rule of nine’ and try ballet or tap-dancing classes, knitting, embroidery, sketching or painting. In fact anything, which makes your heart sing.

Day 4: Instant mood booster - Believing you’re a good person is easier if you act like one.

According to her studies, doing lots of small kind acts in a single day gives a more noticeable mood boost than simply trying to be a kind person generally.
One day a week, look out for kindness opportunities - but vary what you do.
'When we gave people the same kindness task to do over and over again, we found their happiness levels went down,' says Professor Lyubomirsky. 'Variety and spontaneity seem to be the key.'

Daily Meditation Exercises

Short But Sweet Meditating Exercise Everyday.

You work the whole day either at home or in office. You meet dozens of people every day. There chi energy surrounds you. The pollution around you makes your body weak. You feel tired. What is the best and most inexpensive way to get your energy back, to regain your energy to get ready for the next day?

Well I have a remedy so this disturbing everyday issue. Take about 10 to 15 minutes to meditate. For some people taking out 10 to 15 minutes is very difficult and that is not possible for every a president of any organization or of a country takes out time to have dinner and breakfast, so why can’t you take out just 10 minutes out of your busy schedule. To get things done we have to take out time. It shouldn’t be time that should rule us but we should rule the time.

Coming back to the meditation, it is quite easy, simply after taking bath, sit either on your bed or on the floor of your room. But if you are a kind of person who likes open and airy places then better try the veranda of your house instead of your room.

1. As soon as you sit down close your eyes for 10 minutes and think about just anything, anything on earth.

2. Don’t stress your mind to think about something that you want to think about, just let the thoughts flow in your mind like a smooth undisturbed stream of water.

3. As the thoughts pass by, your “Recycle Bin” of brain will become empty. And as soon as it is done you will start feeling relaxed. This practice needs time. I mean you will have to sit even if your brain says you have to do this or you have to do that, you will have to stop thinking about doing things. You will only and only let these things pass by even if a thought comes that you have to do something on urgent basis, just think about but don’t think of doing it immediately. It is not wise to disturb your mind during meditation.

For some people meditation is like sitting in the wind or near a fine place, thinking about burning a piece of paper just by looking at it, or levitating in the air or still to some it’s like attaining supernatural powers. Well, that may or may not be true that one can get supernatural powers. This may just be an exaggeration to the truth. But why does a person need extraordinary powers when he can get everything with the ordinary ones only. Why long for something that may not be even true?

Your meditation will make your mind relaxed only when you don’t think you are meditating in the conventional sense of the word. You have to feel that it is nothing but a thinking process and when you have found the remedy, I mean when you have mastered the art you will know what you have gained. So people you say, “This is what we do every day, there is nothing new.” But for them I would only say that till today you didn’t know what you would do every day was a kind of meditation.

So keep meditating and keep going your thinks properly everyday!

Tips to Organize Household Chores

Household Chores and Staying Organized

Creating a schedule for organizing chores is the best way to make sure the chores are completed. Work and school are constants during the week and can be used as a checkpoint around your activities. For example, load or unload the dishwasher before work. After you come home from work sort through the mail and throw in a load of laundry before you sit down on the couch, otherwise you’re likely to stay there. Keeping your organizing activities structured within your daily routine will help you stay on track.

Make it a Habit
Once repeat a behavior 15 times, it becomes a habit. If you wake up every morning and pick up the towels from the bathroom floor and put away all of the things you use while getting ready for just 15 days in a row, it will become a habit and you’ll do it without even thinking about it. Developing good organizational habits each day will help you stay organized throughout the week and reduce the odds that come Sunday morning you’ll have to do an exhaustive cleaning overhaul.

Hire Help
If there are certain chores you hate doing or chores that are seemingly impossible for you to tackle during the week, hire somebody to do it. A lawn service will gladly trim the hedges and rake your leaves. Can’t find time to vacuum and dust? Hire a house cleaner to come once a week. This will save you an unbelievable amount of trouble especially if these chores cause you stress

Get Family Involved
Make the chores a family affair. It’s hard to stay organized and keep things tidy if you’re the only one doing the work. Get your significant other involved and encourage the kids to pick up after themselves. Be sure to introduce the chores and organizational tasks as part of normal daily routines. Never use clean-up as a punishment. This will create a negative association with cleaning. It shouldn’t be seen as something bad or UN enjoyable, just something that needs to be done each day- like brushing your teeth.

Stick to It!

Keeping an impeccable home is a steep order, and let’s face it- isn’t possible for most people who are busy with kids, work or school. However, maintaining a home that is neat and tidy is realistic. Don’t get down on yourself because you’ve neglected laundry for three weeks and had to buy new socks because all of yours were dirty. It happens. But it doesn’t have to! The more you stick to your routine, the less likely you are to end up sock-less with a mountain of laundry at your feet.

Benefits of Online Grocery Shopping

Technology meets grocery shopping

The technology era has turned the world as we know it upside down. As well as transforming our daily habits, from the way we talk to friends to the way we research our next purchase, the online world is also becoming one of the fastest growing employment sectors in the world.

Technology has altered almost every aspect of the way we live, making the world a much smaller place as we receive television, films and communication from international sources with ultimate ease. The word ‘internet’ is recognised almost everywhere in the world.

And the digital revolution has even altered the way we feed ourselves. These days we no longer go food shopping, it’s all about 'grabbing some groceries’, and if you’re too tired or short on time to travel the aisles, you can now pick up your weekly shop from the comfort of your own living room by ordering online.

Thanks to the wonders of technology and online banking, your groceries can even be delivered directly to your door if you don’t have the time to collect them, so all you have to do is to load them into the fridge, and of course, set aside just a little time to enjoy them.

Buying groceries has never been as easy or convenient as it is today, and with all the time you have left over, you can afford to spend a little extra time experimenting in the kitchen and learning to cook some delicious meals for yourself or to spoil your friends and family.

Easy Ways to Get Famous

Many people often think about what it would be like to be a star. You can’t really blame them. The stars we see on TV are beautiful and glamorous and rich. They have stretch limousines and floor length Vera Wang’s and designer bags. They seem to be so happy and have all the good things that life has to offer. Because of this, they are often the envy of many. The good news is you do not have to be a super star in order to feel like one. Here is how to feel like a star in three easy ways.

• Get a make-over. There are many shows that feature “real people” getting make-overs. If you have seen shows like these, then you know that getting a new look is one of the easiest ways to feel like a star. You do not have to spend a fortune to feel glamorous. You can simply go to a salon and get a blow dry and then come out feeling like a million bucks. Or you can even do it yourself with a girlfriend at home. You can buy beauty stuff at the nearest mall and take turns making each other up. The internet is brimming full of do-it-yourself make-overs – stuff that you can easily do by yourself at home. Of course, you have to be careful that you follow the instructions carefully to avoid disastrous results.

• Go shopping. For women, shopping is like a balm to the soul. Men don’t understand why women can walk for hours on end and try on hundreds of clothes and shoes But nothing can make a woman feel more beautiful than a new hot dress. Nothing can make them feel sexier than a brand new pair of killer heels. If you are feeling down and out of sorts, go shopping! Of course be careful that you stay within budget or else you won’t be feeling so great when your credit card bill arrives.

• Do a good deed for someone. Out of the three things I’ve enumerated this is, perhaps, the best way to feel like a star. Why? Because you not only get to feel good about yourself, you get to help others as well. If you want to feel like a star do a good deed for someone today. As the saying goes it is better to give than to receive.
Being a star doesn’t require you to be a super model like Tyra Banks, a beauty queen like Shamcey Supsup or a singer like Mariah Carey. You just have to try these three simple ways of feeling like a star and you’ll be feeling great about yourself in no time.
